New Japanese restaurant in Brunswick, GA. The interior is simple with booth seating, but the decor is pleasant. We were seated and served quickly. The menu boasts the usual items of Hibachi and Sushi, but at very affordable prices. Sashimi at $1.50! Special rolls at $8.25! Perfect for the first timer wanting to try sushi. I ordered Vegetable Hibachi, Miso Soup(strong Miso flavor with generous pieces of Tofu and seaweed), and Spring Roll (unique in flavor, yummy sauce). The Hibachi was very balanced- not too heavy on soy, fresh veggies, minimal onion, and complementary flavor profiles. Portions average. I enjoyed it.
My guy had the Brunswick Roll and House Roll with Miso soup. His verdict: generous filling in the rolls, above average portion, fresh ingredients, 7.5 out of 10 on flavor.
Our bill is just at $23 for everything. Watch out, Brunswick. This place is going to give the competition a run for it's money- -

Came here for someone's birthday, it was about 12 of us. We all crowded around a table and literally 3 of us ate with our plates in our hands to make it fit. At no time, when we arrived, called ahead, or were eating that way did anyone at the restaurant try to accommodate us or arrange tables for us. Our waitress was short and curt in her responses and I regard to our request. You would think it was a language barrier, but I've eaten at so many places around the world, and been served by people that speak little English with better service received. The food was okay, nothing special and you have to ask for teriyaki sauce as the sauce served with the meal and the meal itself is SO DRY!!!
Returned because I was craving sushi and this was the closest place around. Upon ordering the sushi, I decided to get the shrimp teriyaki. I asked the lady if I ordered the shrimp and steak teriyaki can my steak be cooked medium, she said yes. So I ordered that, and stated I really need this steak to be medium as I'm very particular with the temperature of my steak. Get back home, and dig in to the most over cooked steak . I called and the lady cashier that took my order just 20 min prior remembered me and put on the manager (I assume). The manager stated she would re cook my steak, but nothing else! Not the shrimp, the rice or the vegetables . If I ordered steak & shrimp which comes with vegetables in it how can you ONLY redo the steak? What am I suppose to do, pick out the shrimp and vegetables of the old food and put it with the new? When I got to the restaurant I told her (which you can visibly see) the shrimp was also overcooked, and I need the entire meal made over. She did. Well what happens when I get home? It was still not medium but better than the first time. I'll just stay away from this place and wait until I get back to NJ to enjoy AMAZING sushi and REAL hibachi (which is cooked in front of you). Just save your time, energy, and teeth and avoid this place. -

I came in here with a friend and thought I would have a nice delicious dinner. I was soon mistaken, the service was trash but most of all the food was god awful. I was going to have a three course meal and it was going to be amazing. I soon was wrong.
My friend ordered the snow crab roll and I ordered the eel roll. When I got it I was so disappointed, I've seen and had real authentic sushi and that was absolute sh***. It was poorly made where the rice was not even on the sushi and had no color, and there was barely any eel meat in the roll. The soup we both got was not right at all. We saw the soup get distributed through a squirt looking machine right next to the drinks. Their seating arrangements were where they could just watch us eat and that is not ok there is a little thing called privacy.
Now the main dish I got the hibachi streak yakisoba. I can say it's not worth anything. The noddles were barely cooked the meat had no flavor and so was the vegetables everything was cheap and made with no love or care. I mean the food got out fast, but that would tell you that it was poorly made because that takes time to cook.
So in all this place was a waste of time and not worth spending money like almost a fast food restaurant. If this place wants to be an actual restaurant they need to put some time in to make it great because this is trash and should be closed. -

This place is not good. The sushi is no better then buffet style sushi that's been sitting out all day.
The staff are unpleasant and unhelpful. Drive a little further and go to a better place. This is my second attempt at this place and have been let down on both. And if you are allergic to bleach like I am. Probably not a good spot for you. They use bleach on the tables in between customers and just sitting by the table is awful. -

What a difference! I didn't want to try another Sushi Japanese place in Brunswick after Fancy Q. I am really glad I did. This place is surprisingly good. Not an extensive sushi menu, basic rolls and just some nigiri and sashimi items. But basic is fine, especially in this case. Everything was fresh and on point. I got miso soup and a salmon roll to start. The soup was just ok, but the salmon roll was very good. Simple and delicious. Had the Brunswick roll, which had spicy tuna and a nice crunch. Again, fresh and good quality fish. Black dragon roll, last roll I ordered was solid as well. Eel on the outside and shrimp tempura inside. Not dry as some of these can be at times. Overall a very pleasant surprise. Service needs a little bit of work, I think they had a trainee and she wasn't sure what to do. I was actually not done with my soup and she just walked by and grabbed it and walked off. It was actually a little funny, as she didn't say one word, just took it.
The chefs really seem to know what they are doing and I am a big believer in service matching quality of the food. If there is a big disparity, it can be a real issue. By far the best sushi I've had in the area and I am sure I'll come back and order some more stuff. I didn't see a sushi bar area, but hopefully just missed it, as that's usually how I like to experience sushi. Another thing I would recommend they address, if indeed there isn't one. I would actually also say the prices could be a little higher. The quality is legit and if they just adjust a few things I don't think a higher price point would be a mistake.
